Southwest Airlines: A Chicagoans SUV; the CTA of the skies...
In preparation for my trip tomorrow to Kansas City, I signed on to southwest.com exactly 24 hours (to the minute) prior to my flight to get my boarding pass.
How then, am I still 46th in line?? I have a new respect for the 45 other people in this world who clearly click faster than me...

As a lover of SW, I always wondered about this too. I heard it's because they reserve the first 15 or so seats for the new "business class" option. You know, free drink and all. Don't know about the other 16 peeps ahead of you though.
Seriously! This phenomena amazes me. I will sometimes log-in minutes before the 24-hour mark and refresh until I am able...and even then I always wind up in the high 20s or 30s its ridiculous.
Its like getting concert tickets on Ticketmaster...how do they sell out so fast?
